Hi, my name is Marsha Stone, and I'm the CEO of BRC Recovery located just outside of Austin, Texas. BRC Recovery was founded in 2006 by a man named Mark Houston, who after working in treatment for 20 plus years, had a vision for a Recovery Center, who had a vision for an extended-care program. Mark was known worldwide as a 12 Step speaker, as a spiritual leader, as a visionary. And he started this miraculous place and developed this culture of recovery that maintains today. BRC Recovery is a 90-day residential program designed for men and women who are chronic relapsers, who've been to treatment or who've tried to stop drinking or using drugs on their own, but haven't found success. Every resident is assigned a Recovery Manager that works with them and with their family during the entire length of their stay. They're going to work all 12 Steps. They're going to eat a mostly organic diet. They're going to work out with a personal trainer every single day. They're going to participate in Bikram yoga. We're going to individualize a plan for each resident that comes through our doors that gives them the best chance at a successful outcome, that gives them the best chance of rebuilding their life, at becoming the man or the woman that they always wanted to be, that they always intended to be, that their family had hopes and dreams of them becoming. BRC Recovery has taught me that it's OK to be wrong. It's OK to ask questions. It's OK to lean on somebody else. And through my experiences here, I slowly came alive. And I started laughing again, and started forming these relationships with people. I'm finally OK with where I am right today. Like, I'm OK with today. I've never been OK with today. I think BRC Recovery is a different kind of place, very safe, a very good environment for someone who's newly sober to live in. It gives you, as a parent, incredible peace of mind to know that your loved one is being looked after in their early recovery by people who really know what they're doing. And that makes life get back to normal so much quicker. We never expected to get back to normal as fast as we've been able to. Alcoholism and addiction are chronic, progressive, and fatal illnesses. As these illnesses progress, they bring about a sense of hopelessness in the alcoholic, in the addict, as well as in their family members and their loved ones. At BRC Recovery, we have a 15-month continuum of care and the type of program that has been shown to be successful in the chronically relapsing population. There is hope. Recovery is possible. At BRC Recovery, we invite you to discover a life of permanent sobriety. Hi, my name is Marsha Stone, and I'm the CEO of BRC Recovery located just outside of Austin, Texas. We are very fortunate to have our own in-house videographer, Ryan Rogers. Ryan is also our Alumni Coordinator and helps with the discharge process for residents completing the 90-day residential phase of our program . Ryan has produced some very special videos for us currently on our YouTube channel as well as posting on both the BRC Company and Alumni Facebook pages. One of the most recent videos is a short promotional piece produced for the recent Austin Addiction Symposium, where BRC Recovery was a Gold sponsor and exhibitor. The Gold sponsor videos were shown during the program breaks throughout the day. Lane Rust, BRC Men’s Recovery Manager, as well as Marsha Stone, CEO, attended the Symposium on Friday, September 12, 2014, at the Renaissance Austin Hotel.
