On the steps of the Texas State Capitol, several hundred recovery community supporters and advocates, including BRC Recovery staff members, showed up in the rain for the  on  Saturday, September 13. In support of National Recovery Month, the annual event advocates treatment and recovery for people suffering from addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.

In addition to showing support and enjoying the fellowship, BRC team members were proud to accept the championship trophy for winning the RecoveryPeople Softball Tournament. The annual tournament, sponsored by RecoveryPeople.org and Soberhood.org, is supported through a Million Hearts grant, promoting heart health and wellness.

Through sponsorships, professional and public events, community service, and participation in substance abuse and mental health organizations, BRC Recovery takes great pride in being part of recovery community in Austin and Central Texas.
