The Mind-Body Connection

People who have good emotional health are aware of their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. They have learned smart, productive coping strategies to help them manage daily stress and roadblocks that are a common part of life. They have good self-esteem, and can maintain healthy relationships. These individuals have also developed a strong mind-body connection.

How can physical fitness boost your emotional health? These two areas of our lives are interconnected; one affects the other. Studies show that regular exercise can help improve your mood and balance your emotions.

Physical fitness can become an integral component of clients’ recovery process because it helps them develop healthy stress release strategies. For example, instead of turning to drugs or alcohol, they can go for a run, lift weights or do yoga. By creating positive outlets for stress or anxiety, Spearhead Lodge clients are better able to regulate their emotions and successfully navigate recovery for years to come.

A Workout Regimen

Daily physical fitness, supervised by a certified personal trainer, is part of the routine for Spearhead Lodge clients. We offer an up-to-date indoor fitness center where our clients can learn to use universal machines and free weights to build strength or resume previous levels of training.

For additional cardio, clients can run or walk outside around our two-acre campus.

We also offer yoga once a week for a balanced fitness routine.

Take Steps Toward Total-Body Health

At Spearhead Lodge, one of our goals is to help our clients understand their body and how to maintain optimal health through regular exercise. We want to help people become the best possible version of themselves.
