Leigh Belcher, Executive Director
Leigh has been working in the helping profession for over 20 years. She received an undergraduate degree from Samford University in Human Development and Family Studies and History in 1997 and a Masters in Counseling in 1999 from Georgia State University. Through various roles in the mental health and substance abuse treatment field, she has developed a cognitive behavioral approach to address addiction and other co-occurring diagnoses. Leigh is trained in DBT, EMDR, trauma, and grief. She believes in the importance of meeting others where they are in their process and developing an individual plan strongly rooted in the 12 Steps and trauma-informed therapy to assist clients through the process of navigating recovery. Her passion is to create and implement programs that assist others in being their healthiest self. Outside of work she is in love with her puppy, Tallulah Mae, and enjoys being outside, live music and a good book.
Nita Chester, Detox Director
Nita has worked in the addiction medicine for over 25 years and has extensive experience as a Director of Nursing in multiple facilities. Nita graduated with her nursing degree in 1991 and has worked in a variety of nursing fields, including the neonatal intensive care unit. She first became interested in working in the addiction field after a loved one completed treatment and she saw how much it changed life for him and his family. Nita is passionate about providing individuals with a safe and comfortable experience as they enter recovery. When interviewing potential nursing candidates she tells them there is no other field of nursing where you get to see not only the client’s life change but also the impact on the family for generations to come!
Anna Walker, 12-Step Coordinator
Anna obtained her bachelor’s degree from Belmont University and is certified by the state of Tennessee as a Peer Recovery Specialist. Anna works with the clinical team to directly manage experienced case managers and meets with female clients to help them gain and implement the necessary recovery skills for a life of continued sobriety. She also helps with the planning and implementation of the Twelve Step immersion program and life skills groups facilitated by her team of case managers. Anna’s passion for helping others with substance abuse comes from first hand experience. After years battling with her own addiction, she found freedom and serenity in recovery. Anna believes every addict has hope for a better life, puts her heart into each encounter with her clients and will always believe recovery is possible. In her free time Anna is a stage manager for a local theatre company.
Allison Edge, Recovery Manager
Allison has worked at Nashville Recovery Center since March of 2020, where she started as an RCA. She has been sober for four years and is a native of Middle Tennessee. Allison supervises a committed team of RCA staff to ensure the NRhythm housing provides a safe and supportive environment. Allison is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and can often be found in the houses walking shoulder to shoulder with the clients. Her passion is to help others find the freedom and peace that she has found through working the Twelve Steps. In her free time Allison enjoys working out and being with her family and friends.
