Christmas
Weekly Focal Point
“May peace be your gift at Christmas and your blessing all year through!”
Christmas in Recovery
Christmas day is filled with magic and wonder as we celebrate a year filled with love, accomplishments and excitement. The gift of recovery in our families is the blessing that supersedes anything placed under our Christmas tree! It is so easy to get caught up in the fun of the holidays and forget the magnitude of what we have received. The recovery process can be a bumpy ride especially the first few years but the benefits of happy and healthy family members all around is an experience you must not miss! As you enjoy this day take a moment to pause and practice gratitude for the blessings all around you. If your family member is sober today, we are cheering you all on. If your loved one is treatment today, praise God they are choosing the path of recovery. If your family member is struggling know that we are sending you love and prayers today. If you are on the path to family recovery, we applaud you and we are LOUDLY cheering you on! No matter what your circumstance may be, you are a part of the BRC Healthcare, Spearhead Lodge and Makana Path family today. We are blessed to walk shoulder to shoulder with you and so grateful to be celebrating the magic of Christmas with you all!
3 C’s of Al-Anon
- We didn’t CAUSE it
- We can’t CONTROL it
- We can’t CURE it
AND WE WON’T CONTRIBUTE TO IT TODAY
Considerations for the Week
- How can I actively practice gratitude in action this week while I celebrate with friends and family?
- What are three ways that I can identify God has blessed me in my life? Do I know that I am worthy of receiving the very best from my Creator and those blessings are meant to be shared in a spirit of service?
