Brotherly Love
Today’s Reminder: Brotherly Love
“Whoever loves his brother lives in the light.”

Brotherly Love…
The principle of brotherly love is ultimately driven to keep us in the circle of unity. Why is that important in family recovery? Because there is a fellowship among us that is indescribable. Only those who have traveled this path can understand the bumps, the alluring shortcuts, the pain and ultimately the freedom. This connectivity is vital for our survival but also one of the most enjoyable parts of our fellowship! We can walk into any family meeting across the country and know that we are home among like minded friends. These folks sacrifice their time, their resources and share what was so freely given to them that we may survive and experience of a life of abundance. This sacrifice gives each of us a language of the heart that we share with one another and most importantly with the new family who is still suffering. What a blessing to be able to be of service today.

- We didn’t CAUSE it
- We can’t CONTROL it
- We can’t CURE it
AND WE WON’T CONTRIBUTE TO IT TODAY
Questions to Consider This Week
- Who in my life can I practice the principle of brotherly love with this week? In what ways can I be of service to them?
- Am I able to recall the first time someone related their experience, strength and hope with me? Can I commit to giving that same gift to another family once I have worked the steps?
