Transitional Living Program
The transition out of treatment and back into “the real world” can be replete with challenges and difficult to navigate. Sober living is a logical next step for many BRC clients because it offers a safe, stable and supportive environment where clients can ease back into the community at a healthy pace.
BRC Recovery’s supportive community-driven environment nurtures clients as they heal and plan for their future. Each client works one-on-one with a designated recovery manager and counselor throughout their entire stay.
The BRC Recovery program occurs in three phases over 18 months:
- 90-day Primary Treatment Program
- 90-day Transitional Living Program
- 12-month Aftercare Monitoring Program
Extended Care for a Permanent Recovery
The longer a person participates in a recovery program, the stronger chance they have of experiencing permanent sobriety. Our Transitional Living Program builds on the foundation our residents establish in our Primary Treatment Program.
BRC Recovery offers three levels of Transitional Living:
High-Accountability Sober Living
- High levels of structure and oversight
- Home-like environment provides a secure recovery network
- Daily staff-led accountability group
- Highest staff-to-resident ratio
Traditional Sober Living
- Home-like environment
- More independence with close oversight from a community and house manager
- Privileges earned through action
- Daily group meditation 5 days per week
- Weekly staff-led community check-in meetings
- Residents complete “Rewired” workbook
Graduate Style Apartments
- Independent living within a recovery community
- More freedom and independence than traditional sober living
- Community managers enforce rules
All levels of BRC Recovery Transitional Living feature the following services:
- Morning group prayer and meditation
- Recovery-focused weekly house meetings
- Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
- Process groups
- Twice weekly drug and alcohol testing
- Staffed by Peer Recovery Support Specialists
Transitional Living Programs That Build Accountability
Going from an environment as structured as Primary Treatment into sober living brings greater freedom, but that freedom requires responsibility and accountability–cornerstones of the BRC philosophy. As such, residents must comply with a set of rules that support a sober lifestyle:
- Refraining from drug and alcohol use
- Attending house meetings and group activities
- Completing chores
- Adhering to a curfew
Our Transitional Living Program helps residents establish and maintain accountability in a safe, supportive environment conducive to lasting recovery.
